Journey to Beijing

My husband and I welcomed the year 2016 at Beijing and Shanghai, China in style.

The first few days were spent exploring the Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China has two sections: Badaling and Mutianyu. Due to time constraints, we were only able to go to Mutianyu.

Feeling grateful to see one of the new 7 Wonders of The World
Location: Bianyifang Roast Duck
Address: Xianyuko, East side of Quianmen Street, Chongwen District
On our way, riding a cable car!

The following days were spent going to Summer Palace, Forbidden City and Temple of Heaven.

Summer Place (an Imperial Garden) is also a popular tourist destination in Beijing. It is part of the “UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE” because of its natural landscape of hills and open water combined.

Forbidden City is a beautiful place, rich in history. The Forbidden City is known as the Chinese imperial palace of the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty; it is located in the heart of Beijing, China. We saw the Emperor’s home, it was the political seat of the Chinese dynasty in that era.

Walking down the history…
