Last year, my husband and I celebrated my birthday in Osaka, Japan. We had an amazing time exploring the city.
Shinsaibashi and Dōtonbori
Shinsaibashi is a district in the Chūō-ku ward of Osaka, Japan and also known as the city’s main shopping area. Shinsaibashi-suji is a covered shopping street. If you like to shop and eat, then this is the perfect place for you to satisfy your cravings!
Dōtonbori is one of the prime tourist destination here in Osaka, Japan. This place is often used by filmmakers as a scene in foreign movies as the symbol of Osaka.
We spent the whole day eating!
Universal Studios (USJ)
Universal Studios is one of the best way to experience thrill and excitement away from the busy city.
If you’re the adventurous type of person this is the place to be. In addition to the rides, this place is perfect to take pictures with famous characters like the puppets of Sesame Street.
Fun fact: Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is one of the first theme park under the Universal Studios brand that was ever established in Asia. This opened in March 2001.
The Umeda Sky Building is an iconic landmark in Osaka. This building features a rooftop observatory where you can have a 360 degree panoramic view of the city.
After a tiring stroll around the city try visiting Umeda Sky Building to take a good look and appreciate how beautiful the city is. The building caters your hunger too! Inside, there are restaurants and cocktail lounge.
Going back to Dotonbori over and over again because the food is really delicious!
Like what I said this place is inarguably a must visit!
Pablo is famous for their freshly baked cheese tarts!
It was truly one of the most unforgettable way to spend my birthday! 🙂
Next destination: KYOTO!
