Last Night in New York City

During our last night in New York, we made sure that we won’t leave the city without seeing a Broadway play. As if that wasn’t enough for our memorable last night in the city, my husband and I went out with all our friends to have dinner at Amarone.

Amarone is one of the many Italian restaurants in New York. The difference is, this trattoria is a secret gem of Hell’s Kitchen. This restaurant is a reflection of the Italian owner’s background. It has a cozy and homey feels that caters people depending on their preference. Indoor and outdoor type is perfect for those who want to be away from the city for a while and those who want to dine outside seeing the streets of New York.

We ordered Fresh Fried Calamari for appetizer and Grilled SalmonFettuccine “Portofino”Linguine Puttanesca, Filleto di Maiale, and Capellini Di Giovanni for the main course.

Fresh Fried Calamari

I recommend everyone to try out their Grilled Salmon, Filleto di Maiale, and Fettuccine “Portofino” !

Grilled Salmon in White Wine Sauce with Portobello Mushrooms
Fettuccine “Portofino” with Tomato, Shrimp, Scallops, Fresh Herbs
Filleto di Maiale Sautéed Pork Medallions with Brandy Sauce & Asparagus

Everything we ordered was really good and authentic. All of the servers were very welcoming and attentive to provide whatever the customers may need. And when I say they cater their customer’s food preference, they really do! They have gluten-free pasta and desserts! They may be a bit pricey but their food is definitely worth it!

After our lovely dinner with our friends, we went to 230 Fifth Rooftop BarWe wanted to check out what was the hype all about. So we went there and had some few drinks and catch up for the last time before we leave for LA.

230 FIFTH is the largest outdoor rooftop garden in New York. They have a Penthouse Lounge, umbrellas for the sunny and rainy days, and the rooftop is partially heated ready for the colder nights. This place is very popular because they host private events, boxing matches viewing, New Year’s Eve parties and sometimes even have celebrities perform on top.

This time, our New York trip is so memorable because I got to travel the city with my husband and get away with our work for a little while. Two weeks in the Big Apple feels like a day when you’re having fun. My friends Mervin and Mica who also traveled across the sea and explored New York with us, big thanks to you guys and your amazing company! Above all this, I would like to thank my friends Mark and Beanne for being such a great hosts and let us stay in their house for a couple of days and took their time to tour us around the city. We definitely had an amazing time! Looking forward for my next visit, see you soon New York!
