Los Angeles, California

Our LA adventure continues as we visited more iconic sites and places which I’ve been to during my flying days.

First Stop: Rodeo Drive!

Rodeo Drive is known as one of the most fashionable places to shop, where all the designer items are found. While the Hollywood Walk of Fame is famous for honoring entertainment celebrities, in Rodeo Drive, from Wilshire Boulevard to South Santa Monica Boulevard, you can find the names of the famous fashion icons.

We went there with my friends, Mervin and Mica. We visited a lot of high-end shops looking for something interesting and searching for the Gucci shoes that my husband wants to buy. Much to our dismay, we saw the shoes that he wanted but there was no stock available for his size.

After visiting lots of shop, we headed to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch.

Malibu is a famous beach in California. It is famously known as the home of Hollywood movie stars, and those in the entertainment industry. It is nicknamed as “The ‘bu” by the locals and surfers.

We went to Malibu after we had our lunch thou it was not originally what we planned. We told our Uber driver to send us to Santa Monica, but he suggested to pass by Malibu first. Our Uber driver was very kind and entertaining, he toured us around Malibu and pointed out the celebrity houses.

Santa Monica

After our unexpected tour around Malibu, we finally arrived at Santa Monica! We stayed at a pier for a couple of hours and waited for the sunset. The pier is definitely one of the perfect places to watch as the sun sets because you can clearly see the sun kissing the ocean without the huge buildings.

While in the pier, we went to the Pacific Park (an oceanfront amusement park) to check out some rides and the food. After spending quite some time at the park we went to Promenade -an outdoor mall- to check around what’s in there then went to eat dinner. We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures! After our meal we headed back to our hotel since all of us were so tired.

Ticket Fare:

Each attraction is priced differently. Price range is $5-10.

Next day, we went out and explored Melrose! I wanted to visit the famous instagrammable walls in Melrose but we were only able to visit one, since the other walls were jampacked with people also taking pictures. We had an afternoon coffee at the famous Alfred {Coffee + Kitchen} (separate blog) then headed to visit my husband’s relatives. After our quick visit my dad picked us up to watch my brother’s lacrosse game.

Melrose Avenue is a shopping, dining, and an entertainment district located in Los Angeles. Be ready to do a lot of walking and shopping when you visit this street! Make sure to have a lot of time with you.

Downtown LA

DTLA or Down Town Los Angeles is famous for its museums, concert halls, monuments, and parks. It is a perfect place to spend some time and just walk around the area. In the middle of your stroll, there’s always something interesting to do.

Since we still have time before my brother’s game, I asked my dad to take us to Lacma because I wanted to take photos with the lights but we had a little misunderstanding, my dad took us to the Walt Disney Concert Hall and The Broad. So instead of looking for the Lacma Lights, we headed back to Orange County to watch the game. After the game, we had our dinner then my husband and I met up with my friends for few drinks then they dropped us off at West Hollywood.

West Hollywood

West Hollywood is a place after your dinner party. They have the best restaurants and bars that’s perfect to just chill out with friends and have some few drinks. While you’re there, you may be lucky enough to have an encounter with a famous celebrity!

We went to Toca Madera to grab some drinks and also to celebrate our stay in California. It is a mexican restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks that includes vegan options! For me, Toca Madera serves the best Margarita!

We hang-out for some time since it was our last day in LA.

Despite all the unexpected things that happened before our LA trip, our experiences definitely made it worthy after all. I will never forget this trip and it will forever be so memorable for me.
