San Francisco

Before leaving Vegas, I double checked all our bookings and went early at the airport to make sure everything is fine because of the LA airport incident . After our flight, we went straight to Kensington Park Hotel to check in and luckily, we got our hotel near Union Square. While I was booking this trip, I made sure to read reviews about the hotel that we’ll be staying in. Always check for the hotel bathroom online because some hotels have common comfort rooms. After we dropped our baggage, my husband and I went out to grab some coffee from Scala’s Bistro then went back to our hotel to rest because we have to leave early for our Napa Valley tour.

After the Napa Valley tour (separate blog) , we went on a city tour on a hop on, hop off bus the next day. We visited famous attractions like the Painted Ladies -which I find very cute- ,the Golden Gate Bridge where a lot of famous movies were filmed, and the Palace of Fine Arts Theater that is as beautiful as it is on pictures. We also went up the Lombard St. where the four of us were planning to either take an uber or just walk our way up. In the middle of our debate, we ended up challenging ourselves to walk. It was really fun at first because we were all joking and laughing but then it was very tiring. We also walked our way down but didn’t had any regrets because we definitely enjoyed our time and bonding.

On our way to LOMBARD ST.……

We went to Pier 39 to watch the sunset and the sea lions then had our dinner at the Fisherman’s Wharf. We did a little tour and roamed around the market. We ordered their famous calamari and it was really good! After our dinner, we went back to our hotel to finally have some rest.

Famous Clam Chowder and Calamari!

We weren’t able to finish our tour that day so we decided to continue the tour before our flight the next day. We had lunch again at Pier 39. We went on a Bay Cruise that goes under the Golden Gate Bridge then pass by the Alcatraz. Unfortunately, we can’t get inside because we don’t have tickets to go in and you cant get tickets on the spot so you have to book in advance.

After the tour, we went to Boudin for snacks. On our way back to our hotel, we took a cable car then walked around the Union Square We have some time left before our flight so we decided to rest for a while before we checked out of our hotel and went to the airport afterwards.

Definitely this U.S. trip is one for the books not only because I get to visit it with out thinking about work but also because I got to experience it with my husband! Looking forward for my next visit!
