Dongdaemun Design Plaza

This place was impressive and seeing it in person was amazing most especially at night with its distinctively neofuturistic design. The lights around the building create an illusion that makes the building alive. So unique and beautiful! Feels like your stepping into the future.

Dongdaemun Design Plaza or DDP designed by Zaha Hadid and Samoo is known to have a meaning like dream, design and play. It is the centerpiece of South Korea’s fashion hub, a major urban development landmark in Seoul. The plaza holds fashion shows, forums, exhibitions, conferences, and other events. The building is equipped with diverse public spaces which allows to provide the widest range of events possible to bring determination in the city. Also, a famous tourist destination featuring large exhibition spaces, walkable park on its roofs, cafes, and futuristic stores. In addition, this building serves as a new cultural space that connects many parts of the downtown area of Seoul.

If you’re the type of person who likes art and design this place is a must visit. It has a lot of things to offer. I love how they mix the past with the present. Everything is just so modern.
