Must Eat Korean Street Food in Seoul

Planning a trip to Seoul, Korea? Be sure not to miss the Korean Street Food! Myeongdong, the street capital of the city that has a lot to offer from beauty products to a delicious street food right in front of you. They’ve got everything here. If you want to understand a city with its culture, you must experience the food scene. It will let you appreciate how authentic and delicious the Korean Street Food is.

My husband and I really planned that night to just eat different types of Korean Street Food to immerse ourselves in their culture. Surprisingly, everything taste so good. We were so happy and delighted with our experience. A must try when you’re in Seoul! Check our photos below to see the different street food that we tried. ——– KOREAN GRILLED CHEESE LOBSTER ——–

Grilled Cheese Lobster has become a must-eat dish in some places like New York. But Seoul do it differently. They use a lot of cheese and everything taste really good. Their seafood was so fresh and sweet. A korean street food you shouldn’t wanna miss!

 

——– SAUSAGES ——–

Sausages are very sinful snacks yet delicious and filling. You can find this anywhere in Myeong-dong. They have different varieties to choose from.

 

——– CRISPY CRABLETS ——–

Crispy Crablets taste like the soft shell crab. It’s very crunchy and tasty. More deep fried treats on my way!

 

——– CHEESE BUTTER BAKED SCALLOPS ——–

Cheese Butter Baked Scallops and flaming torches around? Wow! Looks Delicious! It goes with mozzarella and cheddar cheese which are very known ingredients for most of their street food. Be sure to put these on your list.

 

——– ODENG / EOMUK TANG ——-

Odeng are fish cakes on a skewer. The hot soup from where the fish cakes are lying are made of seafood and onion infused broth. This type of street food is very popular on winter and they usually drink the soup alongside. They are easy to eat type of skewer.

 

——– KOREAN FRIED FISH CAKE ——–

Korean Fried Fish Cake have so many choices and combinations to choose from. They are not the usual boring fish cake that we usually find in a soup. Very delicious!

 

——– SEAFOOD PANCAKE / HAEMUL PAJEON ——–

Pajeon is composed of egg batter and scallions. It also has seafoods inside like prawn, squid and mussel or depending on what you like. Very flavorful and it is a popular street food in Korea.

 

——– POMEGRANATE JUICE ——–

Pomegranate Juice is freshly squeezed by a juicer. It is packed with anti-oxidants and nice for the skin too.

 

——– KOREAN PAN FRIED DUMPLINGS / GOON MANDU ——–

Korean Pan Fried Dumplings or “Mandu” in Korean term. This is also similar with the Japanese Gyoza. They have the common fillings like minced meat and vegetables. Since it’s one of my favorite snacks, I didn’t think twice to have it.

 

——– KOREAN STYLE BULGOGI STEAK ——–

Korean Style Bulgogi Steak as a street food? Surprisingly, you can find these steaks in Myeong-dong. They will cook it on the spot for you. The aroma and taste of these steaks are really good. You will not resist of not having one.

 

——– BAKED CHEESE ——–

Cheese Ddeokbokki is a grilled rice cake and alternating mozzarella cheese with condensed milk on top of it. It’s really tasty and different from the rice cake with spicy sauce. Definitely a sweet treat for everyone.
