A Day in Nami Island

Nami Island or Namiseom is a tiny half-moon shaped island and one of the popular attractions in South, Korea. It is an oasis for leisure and culture in harmony with nature featuring beautiful tree lanes, riverside walks and woodlands. It has a very scenic view! This island has everything you can imagine. This location has been used for many Korean dramas like the most famous “Winter Sonata”. There are no particular season that you need to visit this island because in every season there is something special for everyone.

It was winter time when my husband and I visited Nami Island. The place was surreal and every corner of this place is beautiful. It’s a cinematic piece of paradise. We spent our whole day exploring and enjoying the sights that Nami has to offer. They also have different cafes and restaurants inside. It might be a little bit far but there are several ways to get there which I will discuss below.

The Famous TREE LANE.

We had lunch in one of the restaurants in Nami —Seomhyanggi and the local specialty food is Dak-galbi (Spicy Grilled Chicken). They have various selections of meat like pork, sausage, beef, duck, and chicken. The food was really good from the side dishes to the grilled meat. Everything was really delicious and authentic. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant was clean and has a nice view. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this when you’re in Nami Island.

Oak Firewood BBQ D Set—30,000 WON (2pax)
Seomhyanggi Table d’hôte —18,000 WON

Our day was definitely fun. I would recommend this place if you wanna see some scenic view or just want to be away from the bustling city of Seoul. This place is perfect to relax and appreciate what this island has to offer.
